Charlie Sheen Meets Ashton Kutcher Backstage at Emmys (video) 2Charlie Sheen came face-to-face with Ashton Kutcher backstage at the Emmys last night in apparently their first meeting since Sheen was fired and Kutcher was hired on the hit show “Two and a Half Men.” And, guess who took the photo!

Entourage star Jeremy Piven had his camera phone handy and snapped the photo backstage at the Noki theater in Los Angeles. He posted it on Twitter.

“Giving the new kid a little advice..! With @aplusk backstage at the Emmy’s…,” Sheen tweeted about the meeting.

Sheen lost his job in a spectacular meltdown that included his one-man “Torpedo of Truth” tour.

He used the forum to lambaste the show’s management, including co-creator Chuck Lorre, but since that failed spectacularly as well, Sheen has been all humble pie.

Lorre, still grinding an ax, reportedly pressured Fox to drop Sheen from the awards show line up. But the network refused.

Sheen, 46, was at the Emmys to present the award for best comedy male actor. He used the occasion to give a humbling speech, admitting his mistakes and wishing Kutcher well.

Kutcher followed on stage with his new-costar Jon Cryer and joked at Sheen’s expense.

“Hello, I’m that guy from ‘Pretty in Pink,'” Cryor said.

“I am not Charlie Sheen,” Kutcher added deadpanning.

“Jon, I want to tell you something. I do not think that you are a troll,” Kutcher added, a pointed reference to one of Sheen’s comments about Cryor during his meltdown.

Only moments before Sheen, a surprise Emmy presenter, made a dramatic statement of contrition.

“I want to take a moment to get something off my chest and say a few words to everybody at Two and a Half Men.

“From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television.”

It’s been widely reported that Fox and the producers of the Emmy telecast were pressured by Two and a Half Men show runner Chuck Lorre to drop Charlie from the awards show line up.

Before the Emmys, Sheen also appeared on the “Today” Show with Matt Lauer and on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and repeated his humble routine.

The actor has been promoting his roast, which airs on Comedy Central tomorrow night.
