Beyoncé and mom Tina Knowles are making a big splash in fashion circles as Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 lines are debuted in fashion captials. With Beyoncé handling modeling duties, it’s hard not to attract attention.
The duo have been presenting their House of Deréon autumn/winter 2011 collection, and by most accounts critics are finding the designs interesting.
“It’s been such a great journey,” Beyonce told reporters at London Fashion Week, earlier this month. ”We’ve been working so hard on this. It is a dream come true.”

Beyoncé said she has drawn on her extensive travels to come up with the exotic looking clothes, which she has dubbed her “Global Nomad” collection.
It’s an eclectic mix of cultures from tribal Aztec to Spanish-influenced flamenco with touches of Arabia and Africa.
Tina launched Deréon in 2004, but Beyonce heavily influences the designs and fabrics.
“Beyoncé gets to travel all around the world and bring back beautiful fashions and trends,” she said.
“And she tells us what’s going on, what’s new, and what’s just around the corner. We depend on her a lot — we raid her closet!”
Deréon is now on sale in the U.K. exclusively at Selfridges. Beyoncé finds women more stylish and “a little more experimental [with fashion].”
The singer, who is expecting says Deréon is for “trendsetters.”
“Someone who is very sexy and confident and bold, and wants to make a statement,” she explained.
