“Twilight’s” Robert Pattinson is so involved in promoting “Breaking Dawn, Part 1,” it’s easy to forget he has another film coming out soon, David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis.” Co-star Sarah Gadon dishes on working with Rob in a new interview.
Gadon, a Canadian-born actress, talked with CBC, the Canadian equivalent of CNN, about shooting with Rob in the haunting movie set in New York City.
Gadon plays the wife of Rob’s character, a Wall Street titan, who is caught in a bizarre series of events after he sets out in his limo on a simple journey to get a haircut.
The film also stars Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche and Samantha Morton.
“Cosmopolis is such an interesting film,” the 24-year-old star says. “It’s so different from ‘Dangerous Method’ [Cronenberg’s other new film].”
Gadon also appears in the period-piece about the rivalry between 19th Century psychiatrists Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud.
“To work with someone like Rob, who is at a really interesting place in his career, and to see him work with a director like David… the excitement and the energy was just really a very cool experience,” she said.
Going into the movie, Sarah says she really didn’t think about the impact that “Twilight” might have on filming.
“It’s kind of an odd thing, because I didn’t really, really think about how insane working with Rob would be in terms of all the fan stuff.
“It’s hard to kind of wrap your head around something like that and you don’t really think about that because you are thinking about the work.
Sarah repeats her now famous story about how at first she thought Rob was over-hyped. “You think, ‘How famous is this guy, really,” she said.
She soon found out. “Cosmopolis” hits theaters next year. Check out the clip below:
