Ashton Kutcher Can't Read, Defends Joe Paterno, Pedophiles

Ashton Kutcher, Two and a Half MenAshton Kutcher, whose claim to fame is his meal-ticket wife, Demi Moore, has apologized after slamming Penn State University for firing football coach Joe Paterno, who was allegedly involved in the cover-up of a pedophilia scandal at the school.

On Nov. 10, 2011, Kutcher deleted the following tweet that he had sent out to his 8 million Twitter followers:

“How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.”

Several minutes later, Ashton, who apparently read up a bit on the Penn State pedophilia scandal, deleted the controversial tweet and admitted he had spoken without knowing the details of the sex-abuse scandal.

(Anyone who has read the horrific grand jury indictment would find it hard to defend Paterno’s refusal to report the pedophile to police.)

Outraged tweeps immediately bashed the University of Iowa drop-out for defending Paterno, 84, who helped cover up former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky‘s alleged sex abuse of more than eight pre-teen boys.

Kutcher, who recently made headlines for his own sex scandal, quickly changed his tune, telling fans:

“Fully recant previous tweet! Didn’t have full story.”

After deleting that tweet, Ashton then proclaimed himself a child advocate and vowed to stop tweeting until he can stop putting his foot in his mouth (which, given his history, could be an eternity):

“As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.

“As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.”

UPDATE: Ashton turns over Twitter account to management team
