Teen sensation Justin Bieber is trying to put his troubles behind him by tweeting to fans about his Christmas album success and hinting about an upcoming tour, but he just can’t seem to shake his baby daddy drama.
Bieber, 17, who is due back from Europe soon, will face a paternity test this week, and a likely court hearing in December before claims are resolved that he is Mariah Yeater’s baby daddy.
Beyond that, threats of further legal action by his own lawyers could time up Bieber in court for months, if not longer.
For her part, Yeater has insisted in televised interviews that she has evidence Bieber is the father of her young son.
And, she recently enlisted some high-powered legal help to pursue the claims that son Tristyn was born out of a brief backstage romp in Oct. 2010, when Justin was 16.
No wonder the singer is feeling frustrated. He’s proclaimed his innocence, but can’t shake the persistent negative publicity, something he’s not used to.
“So this past week and even today every rumor and lie about me possible has been coming out in the press,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Just need to ignore it..but..even through all of the crap and lies..my fans have been there for me..and I just got word..it is OFFICIAL that…WE ARE THE #1 Album! so to the people making up this BS….”
His Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, debuted at No. 1 on the pop charts, a feat no other artist is believed to have achieved with a holiday collection.
He left his last sentiment unspoken, but he probably would have liked to have written a big F-U.
Among the new “crap and lies” about him, add a report in the not always reliable National Enquirer that Bieber is spurning his financially strapped grandparents.
Paternal grandparents George and Kathy Bieber are struggling because George is unable to work while Kathy holds down an $18-an-hour factory job in Justin’s hometown in Ontario, Canada.
The pair allegedly helped care for Justin when he was a baby. His father left his mother when he was an young and he was raised mostly by his mother.
“Kathy works hard to make ends meet, and she and George are hurt that Justin hasn’t offered them any financial assistance,” a close friend said.
Justin is trying to keep his fans focused on his music. He tweeted hints that a new tour is in the works.
And, he’s promising to take it the lext level. “already thinking about ideas for #BELIEVE – the music. the tour. the videos… want it to be like something no one has ever seen,” he wrote on Twitter.
Let’s hope he still has a career after this baby daddy mess is over. In the meantime, check out this cute video.
