Kim Kardashian Faces Bitter Divorce; Pre-Nup Threatened 1Kris Humphries has finally revealed his legal strategy in response to Kim Kardashian’s divorce petition, and it isn’t pretty. Kim could lose her air-tight pre-nup agreement.

Kris wants an annulment, which would proclaim in the eyes of the law that the marriage never existed. As such any pre-nuptial agreement premised on the marriage no longer would be valid as well.

Most pre-nups typically are tied to the marriage and triggered by a divorce, not an annulment.

An annulment likely was never contemplated when Kris and Kim drew up the legal agreement, so the pre-nup may not address it.

If Kris, 26, is successful, he could lay claim to potentially millions of dollars for being featured in the couple’s $18 million wedding and subsequent episodes of any of Kim’s reality shows.

Reality show “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” premiered last weekend and Kris figured prominently in the story line.

Kim is reportedly selectively editing the show to paint Humphries as the cause of their divorce. She also hopes it will generate sympathy for her.

Her image has been shattered since she called time on the marriage after just 72 days and appeared to show no remorse over the decision.

It was initially reported that Kris planned to sue Kim for $10 million because of his appearance in her reality shows.

Kris is expected file legal papers within days, according to People magazine.

LA family lawyer Scott Weston, who is not involved in the case, told the magazine that Kim will probably fight the matter “unless she’s willing to agree that she defrauded him.”

‘[Kris] is sensitive to marriage both emotionally and religiously,’ a source told the magazine, adding that the move is ‘symbolic’ rather than financially motivated.

“He went into it in good faith and never expected things to turn out this way,” says the source.

Maybe so, but millions of dollars are potentially on the line, and as Kris knows, a pro basketball career doesn’t last forever.
