Elizabeth Olsen may be the new queen of scream. In the newly released trailer today for her upcoming film “Silent House,” she’s trapped in the family lake house with god knows what.
The horror thriller is directed by filmmakers Chris Kentis and Laura Lau. Interestingly, the film occurs in 88 minutes of real time.
Olsen scored a breakout role in “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” a 2011 psychological thriller film written and directed by Sean Durkin. It was her debut on the big screen.
She played a young woman who escapes from a cult in the Catskill Mountains. She returns to her family after being away for two years. Her hope is to assimilate back into normal life, but fears cult members are stalking her.
Olsen, the younger sister of twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, has been busy ever since.
she’s filmed the movie “Red Lights,” last year, which is due to be released in 2012. She is set to star in “Liberal Arts,” a comedy-drama starring Josh Radnor, who also wrote the script and directed.
She and Dakota Fanning are set to star in “Very Good Girls,” a sex-crazed teen comedy. Fanning and Olsen are high school friends who set out to lose their virginity after graduating.
Nothing like a little light fare after “Silent House.” The film is based on “La Casa Muda”, the official Uruguayan entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category to the 84th Academy Awards.
The film hits theaters March 9th, 2012. Olsen is hot. Check her out in the trailer below.
