Love struck Taylor Swift appears to have struck out again. British actor Eddie Redmayne apparently has ended his relationship with the country singing queen. The catalyst: she reportedly missed getting a part in his movie.
Redmayne and Swift were set to star together in new movie adaptation of “Les Miserables.” But Swift, who was set to play Eponine, lost the part to stage actress Samantha Barks.
As it turns out, Redmayne may have been more interested in a “locationship” than a real relationship. A locatioship occurs when two stars hook up while filming a movie together. It usually ends once the movie is done.
If so Redmayne may have been doing Swift a favor. The 22-year-old singer was reported to be smitten by Redmayne when they auditioned for parts in the movie, according to USWeekly.
“They hung out in New York City with the movie’s execs,” a source told the magazine. “And Taylor developed feelings for him fast. Taylor loved this image of a British boyfriend.”
But when she lost the part Eddie decided to cool it. “Eddie’s not interested in a long-distance relationship,” the source said. “The elements were against them. It’s a shame.”
Swift has had a string of boyfriends that include actors Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal, and musicians John Mayer and Joe Jonas. For various reasons they all ended rather, ahem, swiftly.
Her break up with Gyllenhaal is said to have been her most wrenching. “There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak,” she told Vogue magazine. “That will turn out to be what the next album is about.”
