“Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson wowed fans on the red carpet in a tailored dark suit at the premiere of “Bel Ami’ in Berlin. He also deftly handled questions at his news conference. Both were captured on video. Check them out.
The dashing 6’1″ Rob was accompanied on the red carpet by his Bel Ami co-stars Holliday Grainger and Christina Ricci on day 9 of the Berlin Film Festival.
In the period piece, Pattinson plays an ambitious rogue who manipulates wealthy, socially connected women to rise to power in 1890s Paris. Rob, 25, earned raves for his good looks, charm and great kissing skills from Ricci, 32.

”Everyone keeps asking me how it is to kiss Robert. He’s a good kisser,” Ricci told reporters at a press call in Berlin.
“And I’m not being nice. It’s just like that. And he’s really lovely to work with, especially in those kinds of scenes because he’s so quick to laugh at himself. He’s very self-deprecating,” she said.
Meanwhile, Pattinson, who worked out to play a superfit investment banker in his latest movie, “Cosmopolis,” told reporters he may not reprise his role as Edward Cullen if Twilight author Stephenie Meyer writes another installment in the best-selling vampire series.
“I’d be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I’d probably be too old,” Rob joked to reporters. “I’m already too old. But yeah, it’d be kind of interesting.”
Rob’s character is the diametrical opposite of Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” series of vampire films.
“My Bel Ami guy doesn’t have a conscience,” he told the Edinburgh Herald newspaper in Scotland.
“Most fictional characters are driven by some target, but he is like a reverse character. He’s so content to do nothing and thinks everything should just be given to him,” he says.
Rob is on the promotion trail for the film. He’ll be making stops at the Berlin Film Festival and likely the Glasgow Film Festival in Scotland.
Bel Ami, which co-stars Uma Thurman, hits U.S. theaters March 2, 2012. Check out Rob’s Red carpet appearance and press conference below.
