Kristen Stewart and “Snow White and the Huntsman” co-star Charlize Theron made an appearance on French television to promote their movie ahead of the Cannes Film Festival.
Either both are fluent in French or they had a simultaneous translation of the hosts remarks. But both stars answered in English, which was translated by the show for the French audience.
Kristen and Charlize have become regular road pals as the traveled around the country, and now overseas to promote the movie, which opens June 1 in the United States.

In France, the film is known as “Blanche Neige et Le Chasseur.”
Judging from Kristen’s answer, the host’s first question to Kristen was whether her character, Snow White, bears any resemblance to Joan of Arc, the French heroine, and Catholic saint who led a French army in the “Hundred Years War.”
Kristen thought she was. “She has seen a light and not quite understood what it’s all about,” she replied.
The “Twilight” star looked stunning and preppy in a white low-cut blouse and dark blue jacket. Charlize was wearing a white jacket over a black mini-dress.
One member of a panel of interviewers asked if the movie was appropriate for children. Charlize said she tought so and would let her 13-year-old watch it.
The show, which covers entertainment among other subjects, includes some nice footage from the movie. Check out the show below and some shots from the airing. Although the questions are in French, Kristen and Charlize both answer in English.
