Moore, 50, appears to have suffered the most from the split, which begin with and ugly sex scandal.
Kutcher, 34, was outed for partying with a bevy of girls at a San Diego hotel on his wedding anniversary, including a nude romp in his hotel suite hottub. A 22-year-old blonde claimed she spent the night with the actor and had sex.
The scandal blew the lid off the couple’s seven-year union, although sources close to Kutcher said the couple had been going through the motions of a marriage for the past two years. Nonetheless, Moore spiraled downward and finally ended up in rehab after a drug-induced episode.
Kutcher, meanwhile, rebounded quickly with Kunis, 29, with whom he co-starred in the hit sit-com “That ’70s Show (1998–2006). Kutcher also landed one of the highest paying jobs in television, replacing Charlie Sheen on the CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men.”
He filed court papers Friday (Dec. 21) in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, according to People. He isn’t seeking support, but she may do so. Plus the couple has considerable joint-assets to sort out. The split in Nov. 2011.
Kutcher is apparently taking no chances. He’s hired Hollywood divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who is known for handling contentious splits involving Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie.
