Lena Dunham trashes Rihanna for running back to Chris Brown in a a new interview with Alec Baldwin. She chided her to take being a role model seriously.
Dunham’s hit HBO show “Girls” is all about relationships, so the 26-year-old actress didn’t hesitate to speak out about one of the most controversial relationships in Hollywood.
Brown savagely beat Rihanna on the eve of the Grammys in 2009 and has since become the poster boy for domestic abuse. After three years apart, however, Rihanna rekindled the relationship.
The subject came as Baldwin and Dunham were discussing the book she planned to write. Baldwin asked what she intended to write about

Dunham said she had to be somewhat circumspect because 17-year-old girls where now hanging on her every word because of the show.
“It’s amazing. It’s an amazing thing and it’s like, it’s a platform that you have to take seriously,” she explained.
“It’s like I used to be really into Rihanna, that pop star, and then it’s like again, I don’t want to ever throw stones from my glass house, but I follow her on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna,” she said.
“And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed. And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I’m 95 years old,” she added.
“As a role model, what won’t Hannah or the other girls in the quartet do?” Baldwin asked.
“We won’t fu*k someone because they have a nice apartment. There’s not gonna be any version of sort of like prostituting yourself. There’s not gonna be any version of dating somebody because he can take you out to a nice dinner,” she replied.
That shocked Baldwin. “Wait – wait. You’re putting down my whole playbook. This is all I have left at my age. Wait a second. That is so wrong of you. Come on,” he pleaded.
