Beyoncé says she accomplished a number of goals with her new HBO documentary “Life Is But a Dream,” including proving her pregnancy wasn’t faked. She appears naked just three weeks before giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy.

The documentary, set to air on Sunday at 9pm, will do more than reveal many previously hidden aspects of her life. It will also be liberating for her, she said at the premiere.

“I really grew so much. This movie has really been my therapy,” she told Oprah Winfrey in an interview.

“I’ve healed from so many wounds and I’ve been able to understand why some of the things I’ve been through, why I went through, so I feel really proud, and hopefully I can inspire other people,” she said.

Among the revealing scenes, she poses naked just three weeks before giving birth to dispel what she calls “the most ridiculous rumor I’ve ever had about me.”

The singer announced her pregnancy in August 2011 at the MTV Video Music Awards. But in October, rumors circulated that she was faking the pregnancy after her baby bump appeared to collapse as though it were prosthetic during a live TV interview in Australia.

“It’s something you have to respect. There’s certain things you just shouldn’t play around with and a child, you don’t play around with that,” she said in the interview.

The documentary includes footage of her in her exclusive hospital room, that reportedly cost $4,000 a night. Jay-Z and mother Tina Knowles are featured in the scene.

Beyoncé also goes into detail about suffering a miscarriage two years ago. “The pain and trauma from that just makes it mean so much more to get an opportunity to bring a life into the world.”

Baby Blue Ivy was born last January and Beyoncé says in the March issue of U.S. Vogue magazine that she is her everything. “She is my road dog, my homey, my best friend. I feel like I have something that has grounded me so much more,” she explained.

“I hope that she will see all of the beautiful times and all the tough times that led up to her being here. I’m hoping that … it can comfort her and inspire her in her life when she needs it,” the singer said.
