Kunis, Weisz and Michelle Williams as Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, don’t know how to quite take the arrival of James Franco’s character.
He plays Oscar Diggs, a neer-do-well carnival huckster. who is swept over the rainbow in his hot-air balloon, and declared the new Wizard of Oz. All he has to do is vanquish the evil witches. No easy task, given their powers, but he has a few tricks up his sleeve as well.
In the latest scene, Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West is trying to convince Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East, that the Wizard is the real deal. But Evanora isn’t buying it.
“Isn’t he wonderful; didn’t they say he would come?” says Theodora plaintively.
“You dare escort that oaf in here and allow him to climb on the hallowed throne,” Evanora shoots back.
“Why not, he is the wizard!” the witch of the west proclaims.
Wait, wasn’t there a scene like this in Seinfeld? Check below.
In any event, things get a little heated, and the Theodora shows why she’s considered so wicked. This is the first look of Weisz and Kunis in action. The film looks delicious.
