Paris Jackson, daughter of late superstar Michael Jackson, wants nothing to do with her father’s secretive, off-beat, eccentric lifestyle. Since his death, she has gone out of her way to live the normal, everyday life of a young teenager.

Jackson, 14, was spotted last night (Mar. 4) cheering for her posh Buckley private school boy’s basketball team like any normal teen her age.

In contrast, her superstar father lived in seclusion, mostly at his Neverland ranch. When he ventured outside with the children, they were forced to wear masks or hoods over their faces. Jackson blew through much of his fortune and was addicted to a pharmacopoeia of drugs that included the powerful anesthetic propofol.

Jackson died from cardiac arrest brought on by heavy drug use on June 25, 2009. He was 50. Paris and siblings Prince and Blanket were in the house the day he died.

At last night’s game, Paris wore a black, red and white cheerleader’s outfit, emblazoned with the Buckley logo and looked campy with a short punk-style haircut. The school went on to win its first ever California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section championship.

The Buckley school isn’t exactly your typical suburban high school. It’s located in posh Beverly Hills and costs $29,000 a year to attend. Previous students include Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Matthew Perry, Alyssa Milano and Laura Dern.

Still, she seems amazingly grounded.

“I am who I am,” Paris wrote of herself on Twitter. “I’m weird, I’m lame, I run into things, I spill food, I trip, I scream about random stupid stuff but I’m me and I like it.”
