Kendrick, 27, and Wright met on the set of 2009 film “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and had become a fixture among young Hollywood couples.
The breakup, which apparently happened some time ago, was confirmed by multiple sources, according to USWeekly. No reasons were given, but it could have been too much time apart or differing career trajectories.
Kendrick has been climbing the A-List since her 2009 breakout role in “Up in the Air” with George Clooney. “Scott Pilgrim” came the following year and she’s been working steadily ever since, not only reprising her role in the “Twilight” films, but also as a leading lady in such films as “Pitch Perfect.”
She has four films in the works this year, including the comedy “Drinking Buddies” with Olivia Wilde. The film premiered this week at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival.
Wright, 38, who is best known for directing “Shaun of the Dead,” has worked mainly in English film and television as a writer and director. His next big project is directing a film adaptation of the Marvel Comics superhero Ant-Man, according to a biography.
He’s also putting the finishing touches on “World’s End,” starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman
While Kendrick is now single, she still has marriage on her mind.
“If I were a contestant on The Bachelor I’d just end up falling in love with the weird sound guy and making things uncomfortable for everyone,” she tweeted March 12.
