The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating the incident, is reportedly ready to seek criminal charges. It will be up to the L.A. District attorney to decide whether to take the case to court.
The incident began last Tuesday (Mar. 30) after Bieber was spotted speeding around his posh surburban neighborhood, The Estates of the Oaks, in a new Ferrari. The neighbor estimated that he was driving in excess of 100 mph along streets where children frequently play.
The 47-year-old resident, who has three children, walked onto Bieber’s property next door to confront him about the incident. Bieber allegedly became hostile, threatened to kill the man and spit on him, according to a criminal complaint.
Bieber, through his reps, denied making the threat or spitting, but at least one eye-witness confirmed the neighbor’s story, according to gossip site TMZ.
“Get the f**k out of here. I’m gonna f**king kill you,” the diminutive pop star allegedly said.
Despite his popularity and squeaky clean image, Bieber has been involved in a series of incidents over the past two years involving reckless driving, speeding tickets and loutish behavior toward fans and photographers, who dog him incessantly.
Bieber’s Ferrari was delivered to his $6.5 million mansion around 8am and he went roaring through the gated community before 9am.
Earlier this month, Bieber jumped out of his SUV as he was leaving his London hotel and threatened to “beat the fu*k out of” a paparazzi, who was cursing up a storm as well over his behavior.
In January, he and a couple of buddies allegedly ridiculed a woman who was working out at a Charlotte, N.C. gym. Bieber was in town for a concert and was confirmed to be at the gym. The woman, a born-again Christian, also accused Bieber of spitting in her water bottle. As always, he denied the allegations.
