Miley referenced the song in an interview with Ryan Seacrest (see below). “I’m so excited!” she told the radio deejay.
The track will appear on Snoop’s upcoming album Reincarnated, which coincides with his evolution from a dogg to a lion. The song has a heavy reggae lilt as Snoop raps about partying all night for those who are “six feet under.”
Miley comes in on the chorus.
Now my buzz is gone, and I need to re-up on reality
Can’t let me see them weak I need to pause on it
Is there any possibility that everyone feels like me
Ashtrays and heartbreaks
Major Lazer, Ariel Rechtshaid and Dre Skull produced the song and Angela Hunte also sings along with Miley according to MTV. You’ll never guess who’s playing drums.
It’s Stewart Copeland, who made up one part of the rock trio Police, with Sting and Andy Summers.
Miley will also team up with Snoop for the lead single off her 2013 album release. “I did a song with Snoop, and it’s coming out very, very soon,” Miley told Seacrest.
“I can finally say I’m going to have a song with Snoop Dogg coming very soon. It’s recorded, done. I’m so excited!” She also joked about her “twerking” video.
“I can’t sing, I can’t act, I’m dumb, I’m a hillbilly, but I can twerk, so whatever!” she said, noting: “It’s a lot of booty action.”
Snoop’s album comes out Apr. 23. Check out the tune and Miley’s talk with Ryan above.
