Kristen Stewart is just two days away from her first public appearance since her cheating scandal and tabloids are already rife with speculation about how she will handle her “On the Road” promotional duties at the Toronto International Film Festival.
It’s impossible to know her state of mind at the moment, although that hasn’t stopped some of the seedier Web sites from speculating.
Stewart, 22, is reportedly contractually obligated to appear at the festival to promote the picture, which is based on the ’50s Beat Generation novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac.
She’s appeared only briefly in public since her affair with “Snow White” Director Rupert Sanders became public in July. And, she hasn’t spoken to anyone. Hence many of the tabloid reports are relying on so-called “sources” for information.
In one of the latest reports, gossip site radaronline claimed the starlet has gotten little sleep since the incident.
“Kristen Stewart hasn’t been able to get a wink of sleep in the run-up to the film festival. She’s been fretting over the film’s premiere,” the source claimed. Yet one of the few times she appeared in public she looked rested and healthy.
Kristen and Robert Pattinson also have such a tight circle of friends, it’s doubtful any of them are talking.
Members of the media reportedly have been banned from asking questions about Kristen’s personal life, but there’s no reliable source for that report, either. The festival has not issued any press releases or statements to that effect. It’s doubtful they can prevent them, anyway.
Chances are the star could hear some heckling on the red carpet, but her appearances are likely to be tightly controlled to minimize it, and the press will for the most part censor itself, as interviewers did with Pattinson.
As for the “sourced” reports in radaronline, hollywoodlife and other gossip sites, it’s a safe bet to heavily discount them.
