Kristen Stewart looked radiant on the red carpet and received warm support from fans who seemed to go out of their way to cheer her at the premiere of her latest movie “On the Road” at the Toronto International Film Festival. But more than Robert Pattinson was noticeably absent.
Rob’s best buddy Tom Sturridge was also a no show at the premiere. Whether his absence was an act of solidarity for his best buddy is unknown. But it would have been a strong show of support for Kristen if he had been there.
As it was, Kristen, 22, spent almost an hour on the red carpet greeting fans and signing autographs. She wore a stunning dress by Zuhair Murad. Flowered designs were laid over sheer fabric with a black skirt underneath. Co-star Kirsten Dunst wore a more conservative pink Dior princess dress.
Although she looked cool and collected for the most part, her speech during interviews was more disjointed that normal and her publicist Ruth Bernstein hovered close by for most of the time and appeared at one point to give Kristen a pep talk.
Pattinson was in Los Angeles attending the MTV Video Music Awards. He introduced the latest “Breaking Dawn Part 2” trailer along with cast mates Taylor Lautner, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli and Jackson Rathbone.
Stewart has been laying low since July, after her affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders exploded in tabloid headlines.
