Kristen Stewart Signals She, Robert Pattinson All But Officially Over

Kristen Stewart Signals She, Robert Pattinson All But Officially Over 1Kristen Stewart did her best put a positive spin on her relationship with Robert Pattinson in her only comments so far about their break up, but she talked like someone who has gone from lovers to “best friends.”

Stewart, 22, was speaking at a news conference at the Toronto International Film Festival when she was asked about the upcoming promotion of the last of the “Twilight” films “Breaking Dawn, Part 2.

“We’re going to be fine,” she said “We’re totally fine.” It’s tantamount to saying “we’re best friends.”

It appeared too be an all but outright pronouncement that both have come to accept the situation and have moved on, in the wake of her cheating scandal with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson, 26, moved out of the Loz Feliz mansion they shared soon after getting blindsided by the affair in July. Stewart followed suit a short time later and the house has been reported to be on the market, although that’s never been officially confirmed.

In contrast to her red carpet appearance for the premiere of her new movie “On the Road,” Stewart looked drained during her photo opportunity with co-star Garrett Hedlund and director Walter Salles. Her minimal use of neutral makeup didn’t help.

Bags were visible underneath her eyes and she looked like she was in mourning in her somber grey outfit with black leather jacket.

Pattinson, meanwhile, was have a continent away in Los Angeles. He attended the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday (Sept. 6) with cast mates Taylor Lautner, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli and Jackson Rathbone.

Despite tabloid reports to the contrary, Stewart said she was psyched to attend the festival. “We have been waiting for this thing to be unleashed for so long. It was sort of one of those situations where you just have to put yourself in your body and go appreciate the moment,” she said.

“You expect a lot of people at a Twilight premiere, but showing up at an On the Road Toronto film festival screening and seeing that amount of people is absolutely, disarmingly amazing. It felt pretty cool,” she added.
