Elle Fanning, the 14-year-old younger sister of actress Dakota Fanning, plays a tempting Lolita in a new video short film for Lolita Lempicka, the French fashion designer and perfume creator. Fanning teases and taunts in the haunting clip.
Fanning wears a babydoll camisole a bra and short skyblue shorts. She cavorts in surreal scenes that are laden with sexual suggestion and imagery. It’s not what you’d expect of a normal junior high school girl.
The video was shot by Yohan Lemoine, 29, a French music video director, graphic designer and musician.
He’s directed music videos for Lana Del Rey (“Born to Die,” “Blue Jeans”), Drake and Rihanna (“Take Care”), Taylor Swift (“Back to December”) and Katy Perry (“Teenage Dream).
He’s also been nominated for six MTV Video Music awards for his work with Del Rey and Drake and Rihanna.
Lempicka’s work is noted for its wonderland feel, reflecting princesses and sumptuous dresses. She cites as inspiration fairy tales like “Beauty and Beast,” “Peau d’Âne,” and other tales by Charles Perrault, according to one popular biography.
Fanning began acting as a baby and has followed in her 18-year-old sisters footsteps. Dakota was also known for over-sexualized photo shoots as a minor.
French fashion has been leading the trend toward the use of underage models in highly sexualized photo spreads. French Vogue cause an uproar last year when it featured Thylane Blondeau, 10, in a spread wearing adult clothes. She was also photgraphed topless.
