Pink pushes the envelope on raw sexuality in her new video for song ‘Try.” The singer, real name Alecia Beth Moore, shows off her muscularity in a physical and physically intimidating dance with shirtless partner Colt Prattes.
Pink is stripped down to lingerie while Prattes wears a pair of cropped pants as the two wrestle with one another in a dance inspired by “Apache Dance,” a passionate, violent style that originated in Paris, according to ABC News.
The video is set in the desert. Pink is shown wearing camouflage paint, a bra and panties and shreds of a nightgown, crawling on her hands and knees. The couple is shown in a passionate embrace slowly swaying to the music before they start bouncing off the walls.
Pink, who trained for years as a gymnast and is known for aerobatic performances, shows off her hard-bodied skills rolling over Pratte’s back in a series of flips. The gyrate between dance moves and thrusts, kicks and choke holds. Pink even takes a foot in the crotch.
It was enough to even make the singer’s parents blanch, according to ABC. Moore grew up in rural, blue-collar Doylestown, Pa. Her mother
“My mom,after seeing the new video… ‘Wow, honey. I’m speechless. And uncomfortable. No one can ever say you play it safe.’ Thanks, mama,” Pink tweeted.
Colt also tweeted, “Just watched @Pink new Try video that I was blessed to be apart of and I am blown away! She’s an incredible person and talent. So stoked!!!” he wrote.
Pink’s sixth studio album, The Truth About Love was released Sept. 18, and soared on the pop charts to No. 1. “Try,” the second single from the album was released Sept. 6. Her first single is “Blow Me (One Last Kiss).”
