Tom Cruise may not have the physical stature of Jack Reacher, the character he’s playing in his new movie by the same name, but a new trailer for the film shows Cruise in full command of all his signature action/adventure stunts, from fast cars to fast fists.
Aficionados of the Jack Reacher crime novels by Lee Childs will take issue with Cruise’s casting. The fictional Reacher is six-feet, five-inches tall and weighs 250 pounds. Cruise is a diminutive five-feet, seven-inches tall.
But he can deliver an action/adventure punch. Reacher was a Major in the U.S. Army Military Police who led a special investigations unit that handled the toughest cases. After he leaves the military, he becomes a drifter with no job, no car and no home.
But his moral clarity is matched by his crime fighting skills. In a world where moral ambiguity is the order of the day, he handles situations with a laser-like precision. In the movie, he must unravel the murder of six people who appear to have been killed by a professional sniper.
When the wrong man, a former Army sniper, is arrest, Reacher swings into action. Check out the trailer below and click here to follow TheImproper on Twitter for more movie updates.
