Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and other “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” castmates are featured in the first video from the movie soundtrack. Green Day plays the haunting “The Forgotten,” while scenes of the movie are mixed with the band playing.
The video premiered today (Oct. 30) on MTV. It’s Green Day’s first contribution to a “Twilight” soundtrack.
The movie score will also feature Reeve Carney (“New for You”), Carter Burwell (“Plus Que Ma Prope Vie”) and Passion Pit (“Where I Come From”). Reed and McDonald will sing “All I’ve Ever Needed.”
Returning with a song is St. Vincent, who contributed on “New Moon” soundtrack and Christina Perri, who appeared on the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ soundtrack.
Rob sang two songs in the original “Twilight” movie. One of them “Never Think” was added to the soundtrack. But he decided not to contribute a song for the final movie.
The Green Day video opens with shots of the band shot in a shaky, hand-held Super-8 video style, but images of the band slowly fade into a cloudy blue sky and Rob appears sitting at the piano with Mackenzie Foy in a scene from the movie. Rob is playing!
Stewart appears next in a dreamy shot that fades in. She has a contented smile on her face and is in Rob’s arms.
