Justin Bieber takes a totally different tack on his latest track “Die in Your Arms.” The love ballad from his new album Believe has almost a ’50s doo-wop sound. His manager compared it to Michael Jackson’s style.
Bieber promised that his new album would be unlike any of his previous two sets. He said it would feature a more mature sound.
The latest song departs from the hip-hop influence track, “Boyfriend,” and has a more traditional sound. The single has been released for download on iTunes.
“Die In Your Arms” is a laidback pop song, with what sounds like some reggae influence as well. Justin sings:
“If I could die in your arms
I wouldn’t mind
Because every time you touch me
I just die in your arms
It feels so right
So baby baby please don’t stop, girl.”
Scooter Braun, Bieber’s manager said tweeted that the song has a soulful feel, similar to a Michael Jackson track.
Believe hits stores on June 19 and tickets for his tour go on sale June 2.
