Justin Bieber fever has now spread to France, where the teen sensation led an impromptu sing-along from a Paris balcony, before hundreds of screaming Bielebers. In Norway 49 near riotous fans were injured and 19 arrested.
Oslo Mayor Fabian Stang said Bieber’s concert was near-catastrophic after the crowds overwhelmed police. Fortunately none of the injuries was serious.
“I have already called on the Emergency Planning Agency to examine the entire event from the planning stage to its implementation. We have to find out what went wrong and why it happened,” the mayor said.
The scene outside Bieber’s Paris hotel was almost just as crazy after Justin appear on his balcony. With cameras rolling apparently for his television special, he began singing through a megaphone.
Accompanied by a guitarist, the 18-year-old sang his hits “Baby” and “One Time” and invited fans to sing along. Bieber tipped his plans to sing over Twitter, causing a crowd to build outside the offices of his record label.
Bieber left for Oslo earlier this week to film segments for his “Around the World” television special. Bieber said fans have been waiting for more than two years for him to visit Norway.
After Paris, he’s on to Milan, Verona, Madrid, London, Cologne, Berlin, Mexico City, New York City, and Toronto.
