Twilight beauty Kristen Stewart recently quit smoking, but is afraid to talk about it because she’s superstitious.
“You can’t acknowledge it; you can’t think about it,” Stewart, 22, told MTV about quitting cigarettes. Statistics show that about 90% of people who quit smoking relapse at some point, especially first-time quitters.

Boyfriend Robert Pattinson is also a regular smoker.
Over the years, Kristen has been slammed over her longtime nicotine addiction, with critics saying she’s encouraging her young fans to start smoking. As she tries to quit cigarettes, it’s unclear whether Kristen has kicked her pot-smoking habit (probably not).
“You can Google my name and one of the first things that comes up is an image of me sitting on my front porch smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and my dog,” Kristen told Vanity Fair. “It was [taken] the day the movie [“Twilight”] came out. I was no one. I was a kid. I had just turned 18.
“In [the tabloids] the next day it was like I was a delinquent slimy idiot, whereas I’m kind of a weirdo, creative Valley Girl who smokes pot. Big deal. But that changed my daily life instantly. I didn’t go out in my underwear anymore.”
Stewart, 20, ate fatty foods, smoked heavily and slept poorly while shooting “On The Road,” a movie based on ’50s beat icon Jack Kerouac’s novel about his travels to discover himself.
“She ate badly, smoked tons of cigarettes, and stayed up late,” Jake Scott, the director of “Welcome to the Rileys,” told People. “She embraced the habitual nature of the character.”
