Robert Pattinson on Breaking Dawn 2: 'Vampires Are Weird'

Robert Pattinson on Breaking Dawn 2: 'Vampires Are Weird' 1Robert Pattinson has his own opinion about  the upcoming “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part2.” He says it’s “stranger than all the other films put together.” Girlfriend Kristen Stewart couldn’t agree more.

More than the chance to make money motivated Summit Entertainment to do the last book in two parts.

The fourth and final novel in the Twilight series is author Stephanie Meyer’s pièce de résistance. It weighs in at 754 pages and takes more plot twists and introduces more characters than the other books combined.

The only way to do it justice was to film it in two parts. But the bottom line is pretty simple. “Vampires are weird,” Rob says in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Kristen agrees: “Let me tell you, this movie is so weird”, she says. “It…is… bizarre.”

The center of attention in the final movie will unquestionably be Edward’s and Bella’s half-vampire, half-human child Renesmee, played by 11-year-old Mackenzie Foy.

The second big change is Bella herself. She’s a vampire now. “That’s kind of the huge thing that fans are waiting for – to see the clumsy teenage Bella that Kristen did so well suddenly become this super-sexy vampire who’s athletic and graceful,” says co-star Taylor Lautner.

“I know every single version of vampire, and I took a little bit from everyone,” says Kristen. “But I wanted her to be the best one.”

The all-powerful Volturi are also major players in Part 2. They have an ax to grind with the Cullens because they think Renesmee was turned into a vampire, which violates the vampire code. The Cullens must pay with their lives, they decide.

Lautner’s character Jacob Black has also imprinted on the child, which means he is bound to protect her, as is his wolfpack. “It’s not nearly as creepy as everybody likes to joke,” he says.

The movie’s denouement comes with an epic battle between the Volturi and the Cullens. Director Bill Condon aparently went all out. “Bill decided to do this really f—ing amazing thing at the end,” she says. “The fans are going to go nuts.”
