The New Jersey Nets basketball player has been wrangling with the Kim Kardashian look-a-like over whether she was, or wasn’t, his girlfriend over a five-month period.
Despite his clumsy attempts to deny a relationship, she seems to hold the trump card– phone records and text messages. The same kind of evidence was used by Tiger’s flings to nail him.
Rachel Uchitel, the New York club host and party girl, was reported to have saved dozens of Woods’ intimate text messages. She even secretly recorded their telephone conversations. In the end, she allegedly got a seven-figure payout to keep her mouth shut.
That’s sort of set the gold standard for mistresses seeking money to keep quiet. Sinanaj’s alleged demand for a similar figure sent Humphries and his lawyers scampering to the FBI, claiming extortion.
Her lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said his client never asked for a “one red cent” from Humphries. He now claims the NBA star is out to destroy her.
The NBA star has accused his supposed one-time girlfriend of running a brothel out of the luxury five-star New York hotel where she works, according to gossip site TMZ. Tacopina is now threating a defamation suit. He also says Sinanaj may cooperate with Kim Kardashian in her divorce from Humphries.
“‘I have hundreds of text messages and phone records which show he constantly contacted her on a steady basis. He’d call her 50 times in a day,” the lawyer claims.
You’d think after the Woods scandal, pro athletes would be a little more circumspect about calling and writing text messages.
