Oprah Winfrey is promoting her upcoming interview with Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian clan by promising to ask tough questions. Can she redeem herself after her disastrous Bobbi Kristina Brown interview?
Oprah was once known as the queen of tough love while she had her syndicated television show. Her interview with Whitney Houston in 2009 was raw, candid and riveting.
Oprah was able to get details that no other interviewer could come close to. But since she’s left television for her own cable network, she’s been inconsistent and at times even a bit daffy. But not this time.
“I genuinely wanted to know why they have become a cultural phenomenon? Why do so many people love to watch their every move and why do so many others love to hate them,” Winfrey wrote on her Facebook page.
“Are they completely ego centered? Are they really ‘famous for being famous.’ Or is there something more? I ‘GOT IT’ … those answers +more,” she claims.
“Those of you who watch the show know they hold nothing back. This interview, I’d say, was another level of forthrightness and honesty,” she said.
Well, if Oprah truly knew what she was talking about, she’d know the show was more carefully scripted and fabricated than it appears. Not a good sign.
“Who surprised me the most? Scott. Lamar and Khloe,” she goes one. “Kim… Everyone who’s asked was the marriage a publicity stunt? Why did she leave after 72 days? Her answer leveled me,” Oprah said.
Oprah confesses to being a neophyte when it comes to the Kardashians. She’d never watched the show and claimed she didn’t know who they were. But she says she’s spent hours cramming up on all things Kardashian.
