Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart share some touching moments in a new trailer for “Breaking Dawn, Part 2.” That is, until all hell breaks loose when the Volturi show up to punish the Cullen clan.
Summit Entertainment released the trailer to mark the 111th birthday of Twilight’s main vampire Edward Cullen.
The trailer follows yesterday’s release of a 10-second trailer teaser. The full clip runs for a minute and 18 seconds. It opens with the by now familiar scene, an aerial view of forests and mountains of Washington state, home to Forks, where the Cullens reside.
Bella can be heard in a voice over. “After 18 years of being utterly ordinary, I finally felt I could shine,” she says. More like glitter. She’s a vampire now. “I was born to be a vampire,” she adds.
There are some nice heart-tugging scenes between Edward and Bella after she’s been converted, including the one where Edward marvels, “We’re the same temperature now.”
The trailer also provides some pretty scary scenes of the Volturi as they learn of Renesmee’s birth. It’s a violation of the vampire code to convert a child because they are too unpredictable.
Edward goes on a quest to round up supporters to confront the ruling clan, and the clip foreshadows the coming battle. Oddly he drives his Volvo, instead of using his vampire powers of super speed. Oh…right, product placement.
The film is due in theaters Nov 16. Check out the clip below.
