Kristen Stewart revealed new signs her relationship with “Twilight” Robert Pattinson has some cracks, or at least it’s not all it’s cracked up to be in the tabloids.
Despite the more exploitative HollywoodLife-style hype about plans for a wedding and babies, Kristen shows maturity and puts the relationship in context in the new Italian edition of Elle magazine.
She said during the interview that she has no “love obsessions” and that Pattinson is no Edward Cullen. The comments make perfect sense.

The idealized love between characters Bella Swan and 111-year-old vampire Edward Cullen has always been the source of their fan adoration, and the relationship has been imprinted on Stewart and Pattinson in real life.
While there’s no doubt that Stewart and Pattinson are in a relationship, Stewart makes clear that she intends to maintain her independence. She’s only 22-years-old and really just beginning to bloom as an actress, who is very serious about her work.
When she went to visit Rob on the set of “Cosmopolis” in Toronto, she said she was fascinated by French actress Juliette Binoche. “I reread the book on my way back home on the plane,” she added.
Kristen has changed in a lot of ways since she first filmed “Twilight” in 2008 as a 17-year-old. For one, she loves fashion. Marios Schwab, Alexander McQueen, Monique Lhuillier and Christian Louboutin are among her favorite designers.
And she’s keen to explore the world of art, music and literature. “I stand amazed in front of impressionist paintings. Touring museums is a real holiday for me,” she says, according to a rough translation.
Marriage and children at this stage of the game seems crazy. Likewise, Rob takes himself very seriously as an actor and wants to be the best at his craft. He turned 26 last month and is also far too young to think about marriage and children.
One thing is certain, both are at pivotal points in their young careers, and anything can happen. Kristen shows she has a healthy view of herself.
“I’m not beautiful in a classic way,” she told the magazine, although some may argue with that. “I have no love obsessions, and Robert is not Edward Cullen.”
There’s a good chance that Stewart and Pattinson are more close friends than lovers, which could explain their “low-key” relationship. But a better interpretation is that they are realistic about their relationship and their goals right now as actors.
Perhaps Kristen said it best when she explained what she was looking forward to: “I’ll work in a movie directed by Nick Cassavetes, the son of the great [Director John Cassavetes]. And I’ll take long strolls with Robert and his adorable dog.”
