Miley Cyrus and Rock Mafia finally go official with “Morning Sun.” The collaboration is part of the group’s EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which is available online for free! Give it a listen.
News about the collaboration broke last year when a demo version of the song leaked online. Miley was in the recording studio with the band in Jan. 2011.
She was previously featured on Rock Mafia’s “The Big Bang,” described by MTV as a “sultry, sexy song with a really chill vibe.”
In contrast, “Morning Sun” and an uptempo song with a dance beat. Miley adds her vocals and goes pretty high on the chorus. It doesn’t even sound like her.
Tim James, Antonina Armato and Paul Palmer make up Rock Mafia, which is best known as a record production and songwriting team.
They have written songs and/or produced for such singers as Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Selena Gomez & The Scene, Demi Lovato, Sick Puppies and Aura Dione. And you wondered why so much music sounds alike.
The band seems to be happy with the reception. “happy to see Morning Sun worldwide trend, good night ;)” Rock Mafia tweeted.
