Rihanna, who is rumored to be obsessed about getting back with her beater ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, reveals that her love life is “non-existent” and she hints that Brown is the reason.
“When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar in a new interview.
“The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life. I’m afraid of feeling that again,” she says.

Her comments are a far cry from her otherwise free-wheeling lifestyle, where being rebellious is part of the package. “[I’m] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair,” the singer says.
But when it comes to her love life, once-bitten, twice-shy. “I have been conservative in my love life… it’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find that we’re getting too close I just — I don’t let people in,” she says.
Rihanna, 24, and Brown sparked the rumors themselves in February when they collaborated on remixes of their respective songs “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up the Music.” But many fans and spousal abuse groups reacted in horror at the thought they might get back together.
Still some gossip Web sites made a blood sport out of the possibility, interpreting every little move she made as a sign she wanted him back.
The two began dating secretly in 2007 when Chris was 17 and Rihanna was 18. The relationship ended in Feb. 2009, after Brown beat her unconscious on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
