Kate Upton is going upscale. She appeared in the high-brow Sunday Times of London over the weekend, which officially makes her sex siren to the chattering class, a true thinking man’s wet dream. No more wolfing down burgers in a bikini for her.
Upton, 20, has been one of the most talked about models of the year, ever since she appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, after her second year in the magazine.

Since then, the 5’10” tall beauty’s voluptuous curves have become the center of a heated debate over what constitutes beauty in the world of high fashion. But Upton is turning out to be more than a dimpled pin-up girl.
She’s been embraced by none-other than Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour, the former doyen of the you-can-never-be-too-thin crowd. She’s since pledged to support healthy body-weight models, and Upton has become her poster girl. She’s featured in an upcoming Vogue spread.
The Sunday Times is another step up. It represents what’s known as the “quality Sunday market” in Fleet Street media circles. She landed a huge spread in last weekend’s Times Style magazine. She dons black leather that’s no too revealing. But with Kate it doesn’t have to be.
She exudes an innocent, yet smoldering sexuality not seen since Marilyn Monroe. The Times aptly title the piece “American Pie.” Upton is nothing if not All-American, and she’s proud of her curves.
When a Web site promoting thinness (some say anorexia) posted an article calling her lardy, well-marble and a cow, Kate, whose measurements are a goddess-like 36″-25″-34,” vowed not to give up eating just to be thin.
“I’m not going to starve just to be thin,” she said. “I want to enjoy life, and I can’t if I’m not eating and miserable.”
Check out her photos; no misery in sight.
