Justin Bieber does an early Elvis Presley impression with man-boy looks, head cocked and high hair in a new photo spread in the UK’s Rollacoaster magazine. He talks about growing up.
Justin, who is now 18, is trying to transition to a more adult sound to not only put distance between himself and the latest boy bands, but also to grow with his audience.
He debuted his new sound on his album Believe and opts for a serious look in the arty black and white photos.

“I am growing up, I am now 18 and my fans are growing up with me,” he tells the magazine, which is doing some growing of its own. “I’m getting older and I want that to reflect in my album – it is just more mature and reflecting the age that I am,” he says.
Justin owes his career to YouTube and he hasn’t forgotten the video medium. His song “Baby” has more views than any other video, and Justin is shooting for another first, one billion views.
“Each time I break a record I’m always happy. With my YouTube stuff, Baby has more views than any video – ever. So my next goal is to reach one billion views on a video,” he says.
The Sumer 2012 issue was released today (July 26) in the UK.
