Robert Pattinson Keeps Stiff Upper Lip at Cosmopolis Premiere

Robert Pattinson appeared on the red carpet tonight for the New York premiere of “Cosmopolis,” looking none the less for wear after his heart-wrenching cheating scandal involving girlfriend Kristen Stewart. But his “Twilight” co-star remained off limits.

Pattinson, 26, has a heavy promotion schedule for the movie while in New York. He appeared earlier today for an interview with Jon Stewart that will air tonight (Aug. 13). Again, he avoided talking about Kristen.

Rob will also ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the film’s launch on Tuesday (Aug. 14) and appear on ABC’s “Good Morning America” the day after (Aug. 15). Then it’s on to MTV News Thursday for a 30-minute live interview.

Robert Pattinson: No Kristen Talk on Jon Stewart

The “Cosmpolis” premiere was held at New York’s trendy Museum of Modern Art, also known as The MoMa. While Kristen was off limits, he talked effusively about his affection for the David Cronenberg picture.

”I knew (“Cosmopolis”) would be different, but I didn’t have anything to be scared of except failing,” he told The New York Daily News.

He wore a slate-blue suit by Gucci with a dark-blue shirt and black tie. His hair was brushed up “Twilight” style and he sported a solid stubble on his face.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Split Turns Bitter

Pattinson hasn’t appeared in public for more than three weeks following the disclosure that his girlfriend of four years was having an affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders. who is married and nearly twice his age.

Stewart publicly apologized for her indiscretion and Sanders apologized to his wife, foxy UK model Libery Jones as well. But both relationships are still up in the air. Ross, 33, was spotted without her ring last week in Los Angeles.

“Rob just isn’t going to be able to get beyond the cheating – one time or not,” an unidentified source told People.
