Robert Pattinson Stands Fast: Kristen Stewart Off Limits on GMA (watch)

Robert Pattinson made his scheduled appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and got kid-glove treatment from host George Stephanopoulos, who did his best to bribe the “Twilight” star with his favorite breakfast cereal. But Rob did not budge.

The 26-year-old actor stuck to his guns and did not discuss Kristen Stewart or her affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders.

Where’s Diana Sawyer when you need her? ABC rolled out heavy-hitter Stephanopoulos, who more comfortable interviewing politicians than celebrities and was far too deferential to the star. He even made a play off Jon Stewart, who dished up some ice cream for Pattinson on “The Daily Show.”

“It’s like a nightclub,” Rob said of the set.

“That’s what they tell us a lot here,” George replied, gushing. “You know they’ve been rolling out the red carpet here for you in New York,” he continued. “Jon Stewart gave you some ice cream; we did our research and we thought it was more appropriate for breakfast, your favorite cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.”

What did cereal maker General Mills and Nestle pay for that endorsement? Incidentally, a single serving has three grams of fat, an no cholesterol, but its loaded with salt, 220mg, and sugar,10g.

“I’m gonna take the whole box,” said Rob. Yeah, he feels that bad. But that’s about the only hint the show provided about how he’s feeling.

“I’ve got to get the elephant in the room out of the way. Everybody just wants to know, how are you doing and what do you want your fans to know about your personal life?” he asked.

“I’ve never really been interested in selling my personal life,” Rob replied.
