Olympian Ryan Lochte missed out on Prince Harry’s strip scene at his swinging Vegas party, but he did hang out with the randy British royal family member at a pool party. So what’s Harry really like?
Lochte, 28, and eleven-time Olympic medalist, was letting off some steam in Las Vegas after competing in the 2012 London Olympics, where he won two golds, two silvers and a bronze medal.
The night started calmly enough when he dropped in on a pool party.
Just so happens Prince Harry was there. “We were at the same pool party,” the Olympic swimmer to Matt Lauer on the “Today Show.” “His people came over to my table and said, ‘Hey, you wanna meet Prince Harry?’ and I was like, ‘By all means.’
“So I went over there – I was still in my clothes – and he said, ‘Hey you wanna go in and race me?’ And, hey, this is a once-in-a-lifetime time. So I just took off my shirt and jumped in and we just raced.”
Lochte said he assured the prince there would be no mercy in a race. “Well, the first thing I said was, ‘You sure you want to lose?’ And he was like, ‘Sure, ‘cmon, let’s go.’ And you know what? He’s an actual, pretty good swimmer.”
The medalist, who plans to swim in the 2016 games in Rio, was struck by Harry’s personality. “He’s part of the royal family and everything, but he’s really a nice guy. He’s really talkative. He just wanted to meet me and honestly wanted to race me. I thought that was the coolest thing.’’
Fortunately, Lochte was not partying with Harry later that night, when the randy prince g0t into a strip billiards match with a fetching young woman and both ended up naked in front of party goers. Photos hit the Internet the next day. “I was kinda shocked that someone would actually take those kind of photos,” the swimmer said.
“I was not there. I promise.”
