Taylor Swift Faces More Kennedy Drama; Cousins Freeze Her Out

Taylor Swift could be heading for more Kennedy family drama. Kennedy cousins Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy, daughter of late President John F. Kennedy, reportedly are treating the multi-platinium artist like trailer trash unworthy of  Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s son.

The third-generation Kennedy kids have reportedly teamed up to bust up the budding romance between Swift, 22, and Bobby Jr’s son, Conor Kennedy, 18.

The latest report follows on the heels of a family blow-up over Swift’s refusal to leave the wedding of Kyle Kennedy, the daughter of the late Michael Kennedy and Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the daughter of football great Frank Gifford.

“Maria, 56, and Caroline, 54, both think that Taylor is moving in on RFK Jr.’s barely-legal son way too fast,” a source close to the Kennedy clan told The National Enquirer.

“They see her as a ruthless social climber who will stop at nothing to become part of America’s most famous family,” the source said.

Wait a minute. Social climber? It’s hard to see how the Kennedy’s could see Swift as a social climber. She’s one of the biggest stars in music.

But, hey, they’re Kennedys and they’ve seen their fair share of Hollywood types try to move in on Kennedy men. Caroline’s mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis, successfully broke up son John F. Kennedy Jr.’s relationship with actress Darryl Hannah.

Swift and Conor have been the celebrity romance of the summer, and she seems totally caught up in the Kennedy mystique. But warning flags went up when she was earlier seen in the company of Patrick Schwarzenegger, also 18, Maria’s son with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Earlier reports claim that Swift paid $4.9 million for a seven-bedroom house right across the street from the Kennedy compound, but The Boston Globe reported today that the real estate deal is still unconfirmed.

“Once the traditional Kennedy clambakes and summer boating parties settle down, they intend to freeze Taylor out of the social scene. They want her to go back to Nashville,” the source said.

Despite efforts by the Kennedy cousins to bushwhack the relationship, Swift is reportedly in good graces with family matriarch Ethel Kennedy, 84 Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s mother. That may be all she needs to stay the course.
