Justin Bieber supposedly despises paparazzi, yet he continues to drive around Los Angeles in a car that is a paparazzi magnet. Twice now, he’s caused traffic accidents or near accidents and has received at least two speeding tickets. Why is he even still driving?
The exotic Fisker Karma hybrid electric sports car was a gift from his manager Scooter Braun for his 18th birthday.
But he’s gotten into trouble time after time driving it. In the most recent incident today (Aug 31), he was pulled over in the car by a California Highway Patrol officer because another car was driving aggressively behind him, according to gossip site TMZ.
The cop pulled over Justin’s car for illegally tinted windows and the Nissan tailing him stopped as well.
Turned out, it was Bieber’s security detail trying to prevent paparazzi from zooming in to get a photo. Photographers, of course, monitor the police band radio, and were on the scene in a flash, the web site reported.
In fact, two of the pap’s cars collided at the scene on Ventura Blvd. One of the cars ended up on the curb. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
In July, Bieber created mayhem on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles by driving wrecklessly in his high-priced Fisker in an effort to elude paparazzi. He was pulled over by police and handed an $80 speeding ticket. A photographer was charged under a new paparazzi law.
“It was careless, wreckless, totally wanton,” said an eyewitness, LA City Councilman and former policeman Dennis Zine. “At the time I didn’t know who it was. It was absolute total disregard for everyone’s safety, including himself.”
The singer’s car is all the more conspicuous because it’s entirely chrome plated. How long will this go on before someone is seriously hurt? Why is he even still driving? He’s received at least three other tickets for moving violations.
