Justin Bieber just might break into country music with his new album… with a little help from the Princess of Country, Taylor Swift. The two have cut a track together, Bieber confirmed today (Apr. 13).
Bieber told UK radio station Capital FM, that Swift would be one of several artists working with him on the album Believe.
“It’s crazy,” Bieber, 18, said. “I mean I even wrote a song with Taylor Swift, so the whole album ranges differently.”
Swift’s contribution will definitely add a country twang to the tracklist, the Biebs confirmed.
Justin pranked Swift on the season premiere of MTV’s show “Punk’d” making her think she set a boat on fire with a firework rocket while a wedding was in progress. The bride and groom washed up in front of their beach house in a life boat.
But, yes, they are still friends.
Other contributors are his third studio album include rappers Drake, Kanye West, Timbaland, R&B crooner and mentor Usher and Diplo.
“With my music, it doesn’t only stay in a box. It’s so out there. Everything is so different and that’s why I’m so happy with this album,” Bieber said about the album.
The teen sensation is trying for a more mature sound on the new disc to further his career as a recording artist.
He said the reaction to his first song has been great. “Not only have I got good reactions from my fans, but great reactions from people who, you know, [might not usually listen to my music].
“I’ve gotten messages like ‘You know, I never would have listened to Justin and now I love this song,'” he told MTV News. “So, it’s really great feedback.”
