William Levy, Cheryl Burke Shock Dancing With Stars (watch)

William Levy, Cheryl Burke Shock Dancing With Stars (watch) 1William Levy and Cheryl Burke scorched the dance floor on “Dancing With the Star’s” Motown-themed show, but did the over-sexualized rumba to Smokey Robinson’s “Being with You” cross the line?

The ABC show’s decision to turn up the sexual heat had its intended effect. It won its time slot for the sixth week in a row, but among the key 18- to 49-year-old demographic, it’s still trailing, although closing the gap on NBC’s “The Voice,” singing competition.

Dancing has always titillated viewers with dancers, both pro and amateur, in colorful, scanty costumes. Nancy Grace suffered a wardrobe malfunction and there have been several near-malfunctions over the years.

The show is still tame by it’s foreign counterparts. On “Dancing With the Stars” in Argentina, a show featured model Cinthia Fernandez and pro Gabriel Usandivaras stripping until both were nude by the end of the dance.

Even the judges were mixed on the performance. Bruno Tonioli called it “absolute and utter filth,” but said he “loved every minute of it.”

Carrie Ann Inaba, visibly uncomfortable, said it wasn’t their “best dance.”

“I’d like to see more content,” Inaba explained. “You’re not just a pretty face, you are a beautiful dancer, and I’d like to see more dancing.”

Len Goodman didn’t mince words. He called the dance flat out “too raunchy.”

“The rumba is the dance of love,” Burke, 27, told People, defending the choreography. “It’s the only dance that’s full of passion like that.”

For the record the dance scored a 27, with a 10 from Bruno, nine Carrie Ann and eight from Len. Check it out below.
