She provided few details about the ultimate split in the face of tabloid rumors that she had reconciled with the teen singer.
But she made clear that it was over. ‘You’re available?’ she was asked after the dee-jay posed a hypothetical question about being asked out for ice cream by a boy.
“Yep,” Selena replied, suggesting that she doesn’t get asked out very often for ice cream. “By the way, that would be awesome if someone asked if I wanted ice-cream because that would be cool,” she added.
Reports of reconciliation were sparked in April when Selena dropped in on Bieber while he was performing in Norway.
The visit followed a spate of bad press for the 19-year-old. Photos showing the two being intimate made it to the Internet, but what-ever happened didn’t last.
“I’m a kid, and a breakup is normal. I have to go through the emotions and feel it out. I’m doing my own thing, being with my friends, and he’s doing very well too,” she said at the time.
But Selena appears determined to move on from what she called a “crazy and intense,” relationship, now that she’s turning 21 in July.
Following her role in the controversial film “Spring Breakers,” Selena said she is renewing her focus on music. She calls her latest album her most confessional yet. Her new video for the song “Come and Get It,” doesn’t have a piece of bubblegum in sight. It has purely an adult look and feel.
Selena will appear on the big-screen next as a computer hacker in action-adventure movie “Getaway,” with Ethan Hawke and Jon Voight. It hits theaters in August.
