The pop star, who is 19, was spotted at Avenue and Marquee, two high-profile clubs, even though both are advertised as over-21 only on Wednesday nights, according to gossip site TMZ.
He was also spotted at 1 Oak, a popular Manhattan nightclub that often draws celebrities. The club is owned by Richie Akiva, Scott Sartiano, Jeffrey Jah and Ronnie Madra, who are well known on the club scene.
Nightclubs are eager to draw celebrities because it adds to their cache and helps attract customers from the bridge and tunnel crowds who frequent the nightspots. So, it’s unlikely they would turn away Bieber, no matter what age restrictions they operate under.
Marquee has recently been accused by some of going through a “racist phase,” turning away women of color in favor of tall, white, model types. Like many clubs, prices are out of sight. Drinks, like gin and tonic, are $20 and a Coke costs $8.
Bieber, who was widely reported to have patched things up with on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, must be off again. He was spotted leaving one club with scantily clad groupies.
The singer is probably glad to get out of Los Angeles. He riled neighbors by roaring through his gated community and was chased down former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, who lives in the same neighborhood.
Bieber tried to claim he was not driving the car, but Johnson said he followed him to his house and saw him get out of the car. When Bieber spotted Johnson, he ran into his house, according to the retired football star.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident. It’s the second time he was spotted speeding in his Ferrari. He’s facing a possible battery charge for the first incident.
