The actress, this year, starred in “Movie 43” and a sequel to her 2010 hit “Kick-Ass.” She plays a potty-mouth teen superhero in the movie.
Jim Carrey, who also stars in the sequel, “Kick-Ass 2,” threw everyone for a loop when he withdrew his support for the film in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. He cited the level of violence.
Moretz also has two more films on the way, “Laggies,” a dark comedy also starring Keira Knightley and “The Equalizer,” a thriller based on the television show by the same name.
Chloe Moretz a Cool Teen in Seventeen
Given all the pressure on her to grow up, Chloe says her family helps her stay anchored, she tells the magazine.
“Never choose your friends over your family or a boyfriend or girlfriend over the family. My mom has always taught us that blood is thicker than water,” she explains.
She also knows, first hand, the sting of teen bullying. Two of her four brothers are gay. “My gay brothers were treated horrifically until they grew up and understood how to deal with it,” she said.
The Seventeen photo shoot is a sharp contrast to two other photo spreads. She’s back to playing the sultry Hollywood vixen in Glamour magazine and in the October issue of fashion bible W magazine.
