“I was trying to slap Robin’s ass but no one saw it! Believe me! MTV edited so much. “They cut almost everything I did,” she tells Canada’s Fashion magazine.
She covers the November issue, and her photo spread was shot only ten days after her hotly criticized VMA performance.
Despite sketchy tabloid reports to the contrary, Miley says she has absolutely no regrets about her act. “I’m proud of that performance. I feel like music is really stale right now,” she explains.
“I could have guessed what a lot of artists would have done that night. The reaction to what I did has been insane. I think it was a breath of fresh air!
Miley Cyrus Anything But Innocent in Fashion
“For the people that don’t get it, you weren’t meant to,” she said.
On the cover she’s sporting a sexy glam look with a definite edge. No old Hollywood glamour here; her dress overlay is by KaufmanFranco while her bra and briefs are both by Dolce & Gabbana.
Jewelry is by Jennifer Fisher. Miley was photographed by Chris Nicholls, according to the magazine.
Miley tweeted an image of the cover to her 14 million followers, today (Sept. 25), the same day it was posted on the magazine’s Web site. “#FASHIONMAG #NOVISSUE” she captioned it.
Miley left little doubt about who is control of her fashion choices. “I’m so adamant and controlling and OCD about my work that I can scare some people—especially when it comes to clothes,” she says.
“I have a very specific style of my own and I think it is better to be stylish than trendy,” she says. “I find vintage Celine or Chanel and mix it with athletic or vintage pieces. Vintage makes everything look punk.”
