The end of Miley’s engagement to the Aussie film star was big news, but Miley says she didn’t let it affect her work.
“I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do,” she said.
“I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That’s kind of where I am right now.
“I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn’t really been focused on that,” she added.
“The whole album is a story of that,” she continued. “And I think it says that, starting with ‘Adore You’ and ending with ‘Someone Else;’ I think you can find this arc of growth.”
Miley apparently doesn’t see another relationship in her near future. She told Ellen she’s finally happy with herself. I’ve never really be able to be alone and I’m really enjoying being alone with my thoughts right now.”
She says she’s asked her friends for lists of favorite books, movies and music to learn as much as she can.
But Ellen still took a little time to chide the star because she threw Cyrus a hot “engagement party” with male strippers the last time she was on the show in Nov. 2012.
“I should have kept one of those dude’s numbers,” Miley quipped.
