You may recall, Bruce didn’t hesitate to let his dislike of the rapper be known when he first started dating Kim.
Kim was reeling from the end of her marriage to Kris Humphries just 72 days after their blowout wedding when Kayne stepped into the picture.
Jenner slammed West as late as this past June on national television. He told Maria Menounos on “Extra” that West was never around, even though his step-daughter was only weeks away from giving birth.
“Actually, I’ve only met him once,” said Jenner. “He’s never… he’s not around. He was in Paris the whole time writing and he just hasn’t been around.”
Son Brody Jenner had the same reaction: “I’ve never met him,” he said. “But Kim says great things about him … And so does the entire family.”
A year ago in April, Jenner told an auditorium full of people that he was “not that excited” about Kim’s relationship with the rapper. “Kimberly and I have had a conversation about them and their potential relationship,” he revealed.
Jenner was said to be hesitant to see Kim jump into a relationship while her bitter divorce was still be fought in court.
But the relationship has continued to grow and West finally popped the question at AT&T Park in San Francisco on Monday night in a surprise announcement. Bruce was the only family member not there to witness it.
Kanye even went so far as to ask Kim’s mother Kris for her permission to propose before he laid out $35,000 to rent the stadium and another $50,000 to hire a 50-member orchestra to set the mood.
Then, Kanye secretly flew Kim’s family and best friends to San Francisco to witness the event.
Kim tried to ease the situation by calling Bruce immediately afterward to let him know.
But it was a cruel slap and the whole family ganged up on him to keep him from finding out. Did Bruce really deserve that?
